The drum is the oldest instrument of them all. The capacity to understand rhythm and feel pulse is almost universal in humans, and all cultures have their own strong traditional rhythms with dance and drums. Key to Music have expert tutors who can quickly help get you into your rhythm on the drums. A good drummer is always in demand and forms the backbone of the band. A great rhythm section is essential to any self-respecting band. Playing the drums develops your co-ordination and is very enjoyable-nothing like playing the drums to release tension, relax and get in the groove. KTM can arrange for drum lessons at home if you have a kit, or we can sometimes find rehearsal spaces or tutors with space to teach from. Our tutors will talk you through all the basic techniques and you can then move into more specialised genres, depending on your interests.
