Piano/Keyboard

The piano. The complete solo instrument. And as one of the oldest classical instruments it is certainly the veteran of our rock instruments. Its timelessness comes from its unique rich tone and enormous range making it the serious composer’s tool of choice.

The keyboard, or synthesiser, as it is otherwise known, is technology's answer to the piano. A staple in many rock and pop band's sound nowadays, its versatility is its greatest feature as it can recreate almost any musical instrument or sound you can think of. So much so, almost all of modern dance music is created entirely on keyboards linked into recording computers.

You can be taught on either the keyboard or the piano, and the two are entirely interchangeable. One of the few instruments that is totally self-contained, it is perfect for the budding songwriter or singer, or for anyone interested in creating different sounds or producing their own more electronic music.

Our experts can teach you a range of styles, from jazz and boogie-woogie through to modern rock and pop. And whilst we are principally rock and pop music agency- those wishing to learn a more classical style are also catered for. And it's worth mentioning that the disciplines required to learn the piano will give you an unparalleled grounding in the theory of music. You will be an integral part of the KTM rock workshops and should be able to participate well within the year.

Get ready to tinkle those ivories.
