I am an instrument tutor with over 12 years experience in private tuition, including guitar, bass and music theory for all levels.

I am also accomplished as a piano, keyboard and singing tutor for beginner-intermediate levels. I am skilled in teaching students aged between 5-42 years of age. As well as tutoring, I play weekly gigs, write and produce music. I have been fortunate enough to have some of my songs featured on TV shows in America, and also performed in the Sydney 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony.

Philosophy, Style and Expertise

As an instrument tutor, I ensure that I create an environment that fosters learning in a positive and professional manner. I believe it is important to establish a relationship with each student to better access the style of teaching required for each individual. I am able to draw on years of experience in several elements of the music industry to help guide the student to realise their full potential in the path they choose to take as a musician. In my teaching, I display a real love of music and for performing to encourage students to take any performance opportunity. I believe it is important to work on all areas of the students’ skills, including performance, composition, improvisation, technical and theoretical aspects.
