Vocals

The voice. How is it that the most common instrument of them all is so often overlooked when it comes to music tuition? One of the great misconceptions about singing is “You either have a great voice or you don't.”

The voice is an instrument like any other, and the art of singing is governed by your ability to manipulate your vocal chords, shape your mouth and control your breathing. These are the building blocks of any great voice and they should be trained much like any other instrument should.

Key To Music tutors are also well-versed in the art of performing live on stage – in fact, you can catch them singing live all over London. We all know a great frontman or woman in a band hasn’t got there simply on account of their voice. The stage presence needed to hold an audience's attention is a skill in its own right that can be developed.

The KTM syllabus obviously covers a lot of popular songs, and the lead vocalist will be the one of the first on the teamsheet for the KTM workshop sessions. However, if there is a particular song or artist that you wish to study, then you have the flexibility to do so. So whether you're learning because your shower voice needs a bit of fine-tuning or you have dreams of bringing the house down at Wembley stadium, KTM will help you find your voice.
