Daniel has been playing guitar for over 10 years

He has been teaching privately for the last 5. After graduating from the ICMP London with a Bmus, Daniel studied privately with Mike Outram and Bryan Baker, pushing him further into musical maturity and guitar knowledge, leading to a deep interest in Fusion, Rock, Jazz and Blues styles. Daniel is currently playing with London Based rock band Kody, featuring George Marios (Guitar Idol finalist 2009) and Tom Richardson, as well as gigging regularly with the Blues/Rock outfit ‘Field Street Band’, in addition to writing material for his upcoming LP. Daniel also teaches adult music workshops through the popular ‘Jamsocial’ sessions, and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge as a teacher.

Philosophy, Style and Expertise

As a teacher, Daniel encourages the student to find their own voice and path on the instrument, guiding the student towards their own goals. Daniel’s speciality is being able to communicate sometimes complex musical material in an easy to understand way.

Daniel has teaching space, if students prefer that, although he can also travel to see students.

More info

I have played alongside Daniel within the band for the last 4 years, and during that time, have always been impressed with his playing, dedication and professionalism. When it comes to learning or creating guitar parts, he always puts in a little extra to take things to the next level.' - 'David Dawes' - Session Client/Private student 'Daniels teaching style is informative, organised and structured helping me to see not only the goal that we are working towards, but also the easiest and most effective way to get there. I have had previous teachers and made little progress, but thanks to Daniels inspiring outlook and approach to the guitar and music in general, I am much happier with where I am now. I would highly recommend Daniel as a teacher to both adults and children.' - 'Patrick Pinnock' - Private Student 'Daniel is a great teacher, friendly and patient but also extremely well organised, providing a lesson and practice plan each week that have helped me find a path through the complexity of learning to improvise and become a better player. Just the kind of guidance and motivation I needed!' - 'John Brierley' - Private Student
